Key Inter-county Championship dates and changes revealed...
The 2017/18 Inter-County Championship dates are out – clubs, counties and players, start planning your season now!
Juniors, seniors and masters players can now all access their calendars for the coming season, with all of the information available here.
Thanks to feedback from the inter-county community, the format has been changed from last year’s trial format to be more in-line with that used in 2015/16. The changes include:
Juniors – The junior competition format will largely remain as it has done in previous years, consisting of two regional stages followed by the finals in January. The Under 11 category will be incorporated into the main programme, rather than a separate festival and the Championships will no longer contribute towards junior ranking points.
Seniors – The men’s and women’s senior format will remain as it has previously, with two stages spread over two weekends for all divisions except the Premier Division. The Premier Division will be played in a full monrad format over one weekend at the end of the season. The Squash 57 competition will have a first stage followed by a finals weekend hosted on the same weekends as the Over 40 event.
Masters – The masters competition will be staged over two weekends with a first stage and a finals weekend. The women’s categories are the only exceptions, to be played on two or three match days and a finals weekend.
The Squash 57 Over 40 competition will have a first stage and a finals weekend hosted over the same weekends as the senior event.
Entries will shortly open online via League Master for counties to submit their teams with a deadline of 5pm on 28th July. County secretaries will receive an email with details of how to do this.
All players must have valid England Squash memberships to participate in the Championships. Please email email@example.com with any queries.

Message from Secretary Andy Breen: "The
events we run are a great success but often cost money.
Merseyside funding is always difficult to find and income
is never certain. The benefits will include the sponsors
logo and contact details on all entry forms, promotional
material, t-shirts and include them in our tournament report
we circulate. The sponsor could also display the goods or
services duringevents." Emails: firstname.lastname@example.org
